As a condition of your engagement with IAI — whether as an employee, contract investigator, or independent contractor — you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Random Drug Testing: You may be subjected to random, unannounced drug testing at any time during your engagement with IAI, without prior notice.
2. For-Cause Testing: IAI reserves the right to require immediate drug testing based on reasonable suspicion of impairment or drug use.
3. Post-Incident Testing: Drug testing may be required following any workplace incident, accident, or near-miss event.
4. Prohibited Substances: The use, possession, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances on or off duty is strictly prohibited while engaged with IAI.
5. Prescription Medications: You must notify IAI's Executive Director of any prescribed medication that may impair your ability to perform investigative duties safely and legally.
6. Consequences: A confirmed positive drug test will result in immediate termination of your engagement with IAI and may be reported to the Texas DPS Private Security Board as required by law.
7. Compliance: Refusal to submit to a required drug test will be treated as a positive result and grounds for immediate termination.
